Who we are
Authnet Networks and Internet Technologies (Authnet) is a product operated by Byteforge Technologies Ltd, based in Minna, Nigeria. References to Authnet, we, us and our mean Byteforge Technologies Ltd in its operation of this product. Contact us at support@authnetworks.com.
A business using Authnet to manage its Wi-Fi network is referred to as the network operator. Its identity and contact details should be shown in its customer portal, receipts or service information. The network operator may be a separate organisation from Byteforge Technologies Ltd.
Your service and who supplies it
Authnet provides the platform for customer accounts, authentication, plans, vouchers and related payment administration. The network operator identified in the portal or service offer supplies and manages the local Wi-Fi service unless an offer expressly identifies Byteforge Technologies Ltd as the supplier. The use of Authnet branding or checkout does not by itself make Authnet the seller of every operator's internet service.
The operator must identify itself and disclose the applicable service conditions. These terms cover your use of Authnet's customer features and set general conditions for participating Wi-Fi services. Operator-specific commercial conditions supplement them; they cannot override mandatory law or impose undisclosed charges. The version shown here is not proof that you accepted it on a particular date.
Your registration details and account closure
Routine registration checks formats and account conflicts rather than requiring official identity verification. Your email should be one you control for receipts, recovery and support. Google sign-in and certain security actions involve verification. Use details you are entitled to use and do not impersonate another person. The privacy notice explains the limited account and network records involved.
You may close your own Wi-Fi customer account using its deletion control. This removes original profile/contact and sign-in data and revokes portal access, while retaining a pseudonymous account link and operator-held subscriptions, payment and usage records where there is a lawful reason. Closure does not cancel a subscription, create an automatic refund or transfer it to a newly registered account. The operator's retention duties and your rights still apply. We do not treat inactivity or a supposed graduation as your request for closure.
Plans, vouchers and payment
Before paying or activating a voucher, check the operator, price and currency, data allowance, speed conditions, validity, when charging or validity starts, device limit, location coverage and any fair-use restrictions. Those details are set by the applicable offer. Do not assume unused time or data rolls over, that one plan works on every network or that purchase and activation occur at the same time.
A receipt or payment reference should be kept as evidence of payment. A failed or pending transaction is not confirmation of activation. Report duplicate charges, successful payments without delivery or incorrect deductions promptly. Never send an operator or Authnet your payment-card PIN, banking password or one-time bank authorisation code.
Service problems, cancellation and refunds
Ask the operator for its cancellation and refund conditions before purchase. If a paid service is not delivered, is materially different from the offer or is charged incorrectly, ask for investigation and the remedy available under the offer and applicable law. Depending on the circumstances this can include correction, restoration of service, replacement access or an appropriate refund. An operator's policy cannot remove mandatory rights.
Authnet can investigate platform transaction and activation records and assist with payment issues within its role. The relevant supplier and payment provider may also need to act. Refund eligibility and processing depend on the issue and payment method; these terms do not set a universal processing deadline or guarantee instant reversal.
Access limits and suspension
Access can end when a plan expires, its allowance is exhausted or a disclosed device or usage limit is reached. Do not resell access unless the operator permits it. The operator or Authnet may restrict affected access to address fraud, security threats, unlawful use, a valid legal requirement or a material breach. Restrictions should be proportionate, with notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue where appropriate; urgent security action may precede notice. Suspension does not automatically forfeit a lawful refund or complaint right.
Eligibility and public-network precautions
Self-service customer registration requires an affirmative declaration that you are 18 or older. This is Authnet's registration policy supporting Nigerian child-data safeguards; it is not a statement that a checkbox verifies your age or automatically excludes liability. If you are under 18, ask a parent or guardian and the operator for an appropriate arrangement. Do not falsely declare an age or claim to be another person. Operators serving children must apply the safeguards required for their actual service and users. Protect your device, use secure applications and sign out on shared devices. Access is not an emergency communications service; arrange another way to make emergency calls.
Lawful use and account security
Use the service lawfully and keep account information accurate. Protect credentials and verification codes, and promptly report unauthorised use. Do not bypass access controls, steal another person's account or vouchers, distribute malware, attack networks, commit fraud, infringe others' rights or interfere with service availability. Report suspected vulnerabilities privately to support@authnetworks.com rather than exploiting them.
Privacy and third-party services
The relevant Authnet privacy notice explains personal information handling. Agreeing to these terms is separate from consent to optional marketing or tracking. Independent network operators, payment providers and linked services may have their own lawful terms and privacy notices. Their terms cannot remove rights that applicable law gives you.
Responsibility and legal rights
Each party remains responsible for its own obligations and conduct under applicable law. Internet access depends on equipment, connectivity and other factors, but this does not remove rights relating to the service that was promised. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or a remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, or requires you to waive statutory consumer or data protection rights.
These terms do not promise uninterrupted service, a fixed speed, a particular refund outcome or a service credit unless that commitment is included in the applicable service offer or required by law. No blanket no-refund rule is created by these terms.
Changes to these terms
The version date identifies this document. Material changes will be communicated through appropriate service notices or registered contact details before they apply where required. Changes to an existing purchase must respect its agreed conditions and applicable law. Where a new agreement is needed, it must be obtained; a page update alone does not establish that agreement.
Contact, complaints and applicable law
Contact support@authnetworks.com about Authnet platform issues. Include the business name, issue and relevant transaction reference, but no password or full payment-card details. Wi-Fi service and refund complaints should also be raised with the network operator that supplied the service. Keep receipts and complaint references.
Nigerian law governs these terms, subject to any mandatory protections and jurisdiction rights that apply to you. You may use appropriate complaint, regulatory and court processes. These terms do not require compulsory arbitration or prevent complaints to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission, the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission or, where applicable, the Nigerian Communications Commission. Byteforge Technologies Ltd operates Authnet from Minna, Nigeria; this location is not an exclusive court venue or a street address for service of documents.
